Anthony Kordahi is an illustrator, digital artist, and composer residing in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Working in animation and the everyday aesthetics of life in the South Bay, Anthony combines fiction, landmarks, and narratives found in his hometown to create visual metaphors for the passage of time and the human experience. He animates and records sound to interact with drawings creating short rotoscoped narratives. Movement and sound in Kordahi’s animations of animals and people shift in a linear timeline from one form to another.
Kordahi’s work is in the permanent collection of the US Library of Congress. His composition Hot Head was commissioned for RAWk Los Angeles in 2017. His work has been exhibited at the Los Angeles Harbor College Art Gallery. Kordahi earned an AA in 2017 from Los Angeles Harbor College and will receive a B.A. in Studio Art at California State University Dominguez Hills in 2021.
