GaKyung Kim

GaKyung Kim is a painter whose work creates visual experiences of human emotions. She primarily works with acrylic on canvas to create fields of color and abstractions of eyes that evoke sadness, fear, anger, and joy. She references the ideas of human psychology in such visual fields as tarot cards, story books, cartoons, and comic books. Her work looks at the emotions in daily life. Through her research and personal experience Kim is constantly exploring ideas about color. Kim received an A.A. in Art from El Camino College.
