Mark Gonzalez (b.1999) is an LA based emerging artist whose art is inspired by natural landmarks and places from around the world. From extensive forests to amazing lights far north, his art creates a whole new world outside from the reality which everybody lives in. His artwork is about landscapes and fictional continents emerging from the water that was inspired from countless films and video games. Mark creates large scale maps of fictional countries and landmasses that appear to be pieces of existing countries fused together in a separate world he created. Mark creates pieces that are intended to take the viewer to another world away from their everyday life. Thanks to his friends and family who supported him, he managed to tackle large projects that may have seemed impossible for just one person to accomplish- large scale projects that seemed difficult for any ordinary person to execute.
