Yaiza Pimentel (b.1998) is a Mexican American interdisciplinary artist born and raised in Los Angeles, California, whose work memorializes family, friends, and nightlife. The concept of her work comes from intentional photographs and unremembered memories with loved ones on inebriated nights out. Her works pay homage to her loved ones while commemorating a moment in time and the conviction that we are not promised tomorrow. Her paintings are made using acrylic on wood or canvas. In 2021 and 2022, she exhibited work at the Winston Hewitt Studio at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
