Jocelyn Gasca is a multidisciplinary artist, and educator from South Gate, CA. Her paintings about animal therapy, and animal rescue are developed from her work at the Downey Animal Shelter. Gasca works directly from a diary of drawings, photographs, and writing in which she documents the daily conditions of rescue animals. Her goal is to advocate for animals because they deserve to be loved, housed, and to live with a family that will care for them with respect.
Gasca has exhibited her work at the DH Arts Collective exhibition in 2019 and has been a featured artist on Twitch since 2020. Gasca received an A.A. degree in Studio Arts from East Los Angeles College in 2019 and will receive a B.A. in Studio Art at California State University Dominguez Hills in 2021.
