Winston Chan is an artist from Harbor City, CA who works with acrylic, graphite, and pastels. His recent body of work focuses on paintings of the elements of nature; fire, water, wind, earth, metal, ice, lightning, wood, light, and darkness. He was inspired from the portrayal of these elements in several collectable card games and animation series, such as Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Digimon, Bakugan, Chaotic, Redakai, and Ninjago. Chan combines these elements with swords and weapons of melee used in certain franchises, including the Chronicles of Narnia, Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Super Smash Bros. Chan is an artist who believes art is a form of freedom.
